Tidal

● In developmentVST3Win · macOS · Linux

A synthesizer whose parameters are set by the moon phase, the sun's position and the tide — computed from your clock and location, entirely offline. The same patch sounds different at new moon than at full, at dawn than at dusk.

No network, no weather feeds. Just astronomy, a few city presets, and a sound that won't hold still for a month.

  • DriversMoon phase · sun altitude & azimuth · tidal height, all derived locally
  • LocationManual latitude / longitude with a list of city presets
  • TypePlayable synth instrument — not an effect or CC modulator
  • FormatsVST3 for Ableton Live & FL Studio on Windows, macOS and Linux

About

untitled instruments is a one-person plugin shop. Everything here starts as a tool I wanted in my own sessions and couldn't find — so I built it.

The plugins are written in C++ with JUCE, ship as VST3 (with standalone apps where it makes sense), and are tested in Ableton Live and FL Studio on Windows, macOS and Linux.

  • 01Mono interfaces with one hint of colour. The sound is the loud part.
  • 02Every OS, every time. No Mac-only or Windows-only releases.
  • 03Signed and notarized installers, so your DAW trusts them on the first launch.
  • 04Odd ideas taken seriously: moon-driven synths, prank devices, visual mandalas.

Bugs, ideas, requests.
